I can’t believe it’s the last day of Round 2. A round for me that was filled with a mixture of highs and lows. My biggest challenge was keeping consistent which seems to always be my biggest challenge with the life I live as a Mom of three kids under 8 years old not to mention other responsibilities I have.
Revisiting my goals:
1. To write 1,800 words per day.
2. To write 5 pages a day of my script on my scheduled writing days (of which there are four of these days every week).
3. On the paranormal revision (1st Draft): complete a read-through, editing, taking notes and making changes.
#1 is the goal I came remotely close to completely as I hit the mark at once or twice per week per week on average. Not close to where I wanted to be but a little progress nevertheless. Lately, in the last couple of weeks, I found that even if I didn’t make my 1800 words per day, I at least was putting down words everyday. That’s faltered a bit in the last couple of days, but I’m hoping to pick it right back up again, even though I’m closing in on that book review deadline again.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to complete #2 or #3 but will carry these goals – possibly modified – into the next round.
So there you have it. I guess some progress is better than no progress. Looking forward to Round 3 of ROW80 so I can go at it again.
Thanks for sharing this round with me, ROW80ers. I’ll see you next round!
Wow, can’t believe this round is almost over.
I’ve been focusing so much on trying to get words down on paper daily that my beloved paranormal revision is still lying in wait for me to get to it and do edits. Hoping to do that this week before the last check-in.
I’m doing CampNaNoWriMo so it’s been me putting down words daily on this new original draft I’m working on. I have not been consistently getting 1,667 words down – it’s fluctuated but I’m hoping to hit consistently at around 2,000 words every day in order to catch up. I can’t believe it’s already the 17th day of June!
So for this last week, pushing for words and more words down along with a revision. Hoping for the best.
Wishing the rest of you ROW80ers a good last week of Round 2!
More words, more consistentcy compared to last week. There’s progress. Yay!
I’ve been working steadily on the Original Draft for CampNaNoWriMo. Not necessarily hitting my word count every day, but putting down some words most days.
The family just came back from a relaxing weekend in the mountains and there is not much going on this week in terms of activities for the boys so I’m hoping to sneak in some time to write throughout the days this week.
I still need to get to that paranormal revision before this round ends. Hoping for the best.
Wow, Wednesday is here already!
The momentum when it comes to putting down 1800 words per day is continuing which is exciting. I may not hit the mark everyday but I am putting down words every day on this new original draft — mainstream fiction.
I hope it continues. Though I’m getting all insecure on whether people will be interested enough in the premise to read it. This is one of the stories of my heart – one that has been on it for years and years and yet, do I have a story? *Sigh!*
I’m exhausted now but I’m going to push myself to put some words down.
The last few days have been good ones when it comes to putting words down on paper. I feel like I’m gaining a bit of momentum. Now that I am doing CampNanoWrimo for June (which is 1,667 per day for 30 days for a total of 50,000 words), I’m getting the extra nudge to put down words and meet my word count. Even though I am working on an original draft of a story idea that I’ve had in my head for years for Camp NaNo, I’ve been inspired to put words down on my mystery cozy as well.
So before I lose steam, I’m going to open my draft and start writing so that I can get some words down today.
Wishing all you ROW80ers a good week!
